Welcome Year 9s!
Empowering Future Leaders: Year 9 Students Take on Key Roles in the Junior School
Hello Parents and Caregivers
My name is Jordan Hart and I am the Year 9 Coordinator for 2024.
Year 9 students are now leaders of the junior school and this marks a significant step in their academic and personal development. I am delighted to announce that during Term 4 of 2023, we completed the selection process for leaders of the junior school, and I extend heartfelt congratulations to all the successful applicants for their well-deserved leadership responsibilities. These students will take on the role of leaders in variety of categories such as the junior school, Student Representative Council (SRC), Sport, The Arts and academics. These students will also serve as the symbol of responsibility within the school community, playing a crucial part in encouraging other students to follow the school's vision of Learning, Respect and Community.
Craigslea and Beyond
Our focus on the holistic development of our Year 9 students will be highlighted during our Craigslea and Beyond (CAB) program which aims to delve into key aspects such as perseverance, peer relationships, self-management, and the importance of quality sleep. We believe that by concentrating on these key areas during our CAB program that we can contribute significantly to the development of our Year 9 students, preparing them not only for academic success but also for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in the future.
"Fostering Pride and Unity: Embracing the Importance of School Uniform Policy
Embracing the school's uniform policy is a way to foster a sense of pride, dedication and focus among our students. When we adhere to the uniform guidelines, we not only reflect a shared identity but also demonstrate our commitment to maintaining a positive and cohesive learning environment. Wearing the school uniform with pride is a visual representation of our collective dedication to academic excellence and personal growth. It sends a powerful message that we take our education seriously and value the positive atmosphere created by a unified appearance.
We look forward to working collaboratively with both students and parents/caregivers to ensure a positive and enriching experience. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at jhart259@eq.edu.au.
Thank you for your continued support.
