It is with pride that I welcome you to Craigslea State High School. We are a co-educational school of approximately 1000 students established in 1975.
At Craigslea SHS we believe that the success of a school community can be attributed to the collaborative nature in which students, parents and school staff work together for the common goal of success for all students.
The school’s motto is ‘Striving for Excellence’ and our vision is for all students to become ‘Active Citizens in a Global Society’. We have a proud tradition of academic excellence, a culture of inclusiveness and high expectations for all students.
Craigslea SHS has a dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable teaching staff who are acknowledged as providing the very best academic standards for students. We have built a strong philosophy about learning based on the belief that personal curiosity towards learning is at the heart of what it means to be a lifelong learner across all pursuits and inquiry.
The school is a member of the Australasian Schools Accreditation Agency (ASAA). This means that the school has been evaluated and meets rigorous international benchmark standards across all aspects of the school’s operations and is achieving top level performance in the provision of a world class education.
Craigslea SHS also has a vibrant International Student Program which has been a part of the school since 1996. This program sees students enrolled in formal graduate and study abroad programs from many other countries. These students make a significant contribution to Craigslea SHS and their presence adds a global dimension to school life for all students.
Our school provides opportunities for all students to achieve a suitable post-school pathway. The full range of academic programs provides preparation for all university courses. Vocational training options provide students with a range of qualifications and pathways beyond secondary education.
