English Overview
English empowers students to become confident communicators, critical thinkers and creative individuals who can engage meaningfully with the world around them. Through the study of language, literature and literacy, students develop essential skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing that support success across all learning areas and future pathways.
Our programs encourage students to explore a diverse range of texts, perspectives and ideas while building their ability to analyse, interpret and create for a variety of audiences and purposes. Students are challenged to think critically, communicate effectively and appreciate the power of language to shape understanding and influence society.
The English Faculty provides engaging learning experiences that foster imagination, creativity and intellectual curiosity, supporting students in becoming lifelong learners and informed global citizens.
