Selected Highlights:

Year 12 Biology Camp

Year 12 Biology students travel to Lady Elliot Island in the Great Barrier Reef to complete studies on Homeostasis and  Adaptations of Plants and Animals, and participate in the UQ Coral Watch program.



Year 10 Prep Biology Camp

Year 10 students travel to Cooloola National Park and camp at Lake Freshwater for a week. Lake freshwater is the perfect base for the excursion where students are able to complete studies on Succession, Adaptations of Plants on the Frontal Dune, Comparative Studies of Eucalypt and Rainforest Ecosystems, and Investigation of Animals on the Exposed Rocky Shore.


Year 9 Science Field Trip

Year 9 students visit Toohey Forest Environmental Education Centre at Griffith University, Nathan campus. This excursion provides students with the opportunity to collect, analyse and interpret data within both forest and freshwater ecosystems.

Year 8 Excellence in Science Field Trip

Students in the Year 8 Excellence in Science Program undertake the 12 week Impact Centre program, 'Marine Zone'. During this time, they extend their understanding of the purpose and process of scientific inquiry and mathematical investigation as they examine the ecology of the Moreton Bay catchment area. This program includes a field trip on-board Inspiration with Moreton Bay Environmental Education Centre.
Year 7 Excellence in Science Field Trip

Students in the Year 7 Excellence in Science Program undertake a full day of hands-on, interactive Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) workshops at QUT Gardens Point campus.
